This collection of essays is written in relation to the practice of the architectural collective Assemble, and one of the projects they collaborated on, ‘Granby Four Streets’, in the context of the TU Delft Msc1 course ‘Architectural Positions’. Within this course on architectural design and research methods, the concept of ‘ecology’ is centered, both as theme and method of research.

In my chapter I tried to delineate the 'ecology' of the methodologies and drawing techniques Assemble applied during their practise.
